Meet Natalie

The Creator Of Neighborhood Walks

Natalie Martinez is an architect and Realtor offering Atlanta clients innovative and creative design and real estate services under one roof. Neighborhood Walks was born out of her love of the Atlanta area and all it has to offer.

When she’s not working with design and real estate clients, you’ll find Natalie walking on the Beltline, strolling through neighborhoods, drawing and writing in her sketchbook, or planning a trip to a new city.

Natalie's History

After the 2008 market crash when investors bought houses and needed to flip or build renovations, Natalie started designing home renovations in the East Atlanta Village, Ormewood Park, and Oakhurst neighborhoods.

Residential Architecture

Natalie has designed everything from kitchen renovations to whole house renovations for clients ranging from investors to retirees. Fast forward and Natalie has designed countless renovations and new construction homes throughout Atlanta and Decatur.

Notable Projects

One of Natalie’s notable projects in Decatur is a modern 2nd story addition to an existing early ranch home. With her strategic design thinking, she preserved the basement, exterior envelope, and first-floor footprint. She painted the original exterior brick white to call attention to the original home structure and playfully added color to the modern addition.

Residential Real Estate

Natalie works with Buyers, Sellers, Architects, and Developers looking to purchase or sell in Atlanta and Decatur. With intimate knowledge of the local real estate market, design trends, old and new home construction, she is an invaluable resource for her clients and community.

Natalie has been awarded “Top Producer” by the Atlanta Realtor Association since 2018 for her outstanding sales achievement.

Historic Preservation

Natalie’s design and real estate portfolio includes many homes from Atlanta’s early housing stock — American Small Homes, Craftsman bungalows, Tudors, and of course, the Ranch style. She has helped many clients with obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness in order to renovate in their historic district.

Residential Real Estate

In December 2016, Natalie went to Guatemala to build with Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village Program.

It’s important to Natalie to stay grounded and keep a broader perspective on the impact of housing access and affordability locally and abroad. Every single day housing inequity impacts the lives of women and children all over the world.
